Lane Johnson will play in playoffs, put off surgery because he is Philly’s favorite lunatic

Eagles RT and immovable object Lane Johnson has decided to put off surgery in order to appear in the playoffs. He reached the decision with a number of experts, and will be using the next two to three weeks to rehab the injury and get as close to healthy as possible for a Super Bowl run.
Ian Rapoport tweeted the Lane Johnson news out and sent shockwaves through Philadelphia:
DAMN STRAIGHT, LANE!!
Look, I wouldn’t dog on him if he didn’t play with an injury, but I always knew he’d play if it came strictly down to pain tolerance.
He will be a vital presence for the Eagles offensive line as he has been his entire career. Johnson has not given up a sack since Week 11 of the 2020 season.
While Johnson is rehabbing, the Eagles will likely turn to Jack Driscoll or Jordan Mailata. While both are worthy substitutes, I think we’d all rather see Lane Johnson at the RT spot during the playoffs.
Despite the risks, he has made it clear that he is willing to do whatever it takes to help the Eagles succeed. He has stated that he believes the team has a special opportunity to make a run in the playoffs and doesn’t want to let that opportunity slip away.
I, for one, agree. And both Lane and I have a clear message for those who doubt this team headed into the playoffs. See below:
