Eagles Update: Jalen Hurts returns to practice for first time since suffering shoulder injury

The MVP is back.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts returned to practice for the first time since suffering a shoulder sprain in Chicago on Dec. 18. Hurts was spotted throwing passes during the media portion of today’s session.

Hurts sat out of last week’s game against Dallas and was listed as a non-participant up until Thursday. The Eagles held today’s practice at Lincoln Financial Field, where Hurts took QB1 reps ahead of Gardner Minshew.
Although he was limited in other drills, it’s an encouraging sign to see Hurts back out there.
“We’ll continue to see how he progresses throughout the week. Does he have a chance? Of course he does, because his body just knows how to heal. He’s a freak,” coach Nick Sirianni said Wednesday. “We’ll see what happens as the week progresses.”
If Hurts sits out another week, it’ll be Minshew again on Sunday vs. New Orleans. Minshew completed 24 of 40 passes last week for 355 yards, two TDs, and two INTs.
