Boston Scott followed his dominant performance vs. the Giants with a shoutout to a former Eagles teammate on Instagram

The Eagles have officially clinched the #1 seed in the NFC along with the NFC East title, and a big reason for yesterday’s win was Boston Scott.
Scott was the leading rusher in yesterday’s game, racking up 54 yards on nine carries, averaging six yards per carry, and scoring one touchdown. Scott’s 1st quarter touchdown marked the 16th touchdown of his career and the tenth against the Giants in just eight games.

The Giant Slayer posted an old video of Darren Sproles on his Instagram this morning, where many NFL Draft scouts deemed Sproles too small and not built for the league. Sproles even said owners and scouts were laughing at him while he was out on the field.

Darren Sproles was a huge inspiration to Scott, as the two played together in the 2019 season. Sproles is a 3x All-Star, a Super Bowl Champion, and a 2010s Hall of Famer, racking up over 1,331 yards with the Eagles in six seasons, the most years he spent with any team (Saints, Chargers).
Boston Scott, along with the rest of the Eagles organization, will now get a week off to prepare for one of these four teams in the NFL Divisional Round. The bracket and matchups are now officially set. Take a look here.
