Jalen Hurts Disrespect: ESPN’s Max Kellerman places Daniel Jones ahead of Eagles QB in playoff quarterbacks ranking
After being praised as a potential MVP for most of the 2022 season, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has been getting disrespect left and right ahead of the postseason.
For some inexplicable reason, ESPN decided to air Max Kellerman’s brain dead QB tier-list for the playoffs. Most of the tier-list is full of no-brainers, like Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen. Then we get down to tier-three, where it appears Kellerman said, “fuck it, let’s just go with Daniel Jones to piss people off.”
Jalen Hurts is better than Daniel Jones – we all know this
Who in their right mind would ever place Daniel Jones in a ‘Top QBs in 2022 NFL Playoffs’ list? Known idiot Max Kellerman would, I suppose.
During this segment, Kellerman did add this little snippet on why Hurts was excluded from the list. “I didn’t put Jalen Hurts up because he’s banged up,” Kellerman said. “He didn’t look good last week and was out two previous weeks. If he was 100 percent, he’d be in tier-two.”
Even with a sprained shoulder, I’d venture to say 95 percent of NFL general managers would take Jalen Hurts over Daniel Jones. That goes for the rest of the postseason quarterback Kellerman decided not to include, too.
Trevor Lawrence is better than Jones.
Tua Tagovailoa (if he plays) is better than Jones.
Lamar Jackson (even though he hasn’t suited up in over a month) is better than Jones.
Though it kills me a little bit inside to say this, but Dak Prescott is better than Jones.
Geno Smith, way better than Jones.
Brock Purdy, already better than Jones and hasn’t even started a full season yet.
Kirk Cousins (especially if he’s in the 1 o’clock window), miles better than Jones.
So yeah, every starting quarterback getting ready to suit up for the 2022 playoffs are better than Daniel Jones. Every single one. I don’t even know why ESPN allowed Kellerman to spew this nonsense on their station. Sad state of affairs over there I fear.
