Eagles Outlook: PFF predicts several pending free agents will play elsewhere in 2023

With NFL free agency right around the corner, Howie Roseman and his Eagles are hard at work trying to determine which pending free agents are worth keeping for 2023 and beyond.
Pro Football Focus is knee deep in their offseason content as well and they recently predicted where each of their top-50 free agents will play in 2023. Five Eagles players managed to crack their list – Javon Hargrave, James Bradberry, CJ Gardner-Johnson, TJ Edwards, and Isaac Seumalo.
In PFF’s point of view, none of those five players will return to the Eagles this offseason.
PFF’s predictions for these key Eagles free agents:
- Javon Hargrave –> Chicago Bears
- James Bradberry –> Las Vegas Raiders
- CJ Gardner-Johnson –> Cincinnati Bengals
- TJ Edwards –> Pittsburgh Steelers
- Isaac Seumalo –> Los Angeles Rams

Simply put, it would suck losing each of these guys once free agency rolls around.
We can safely assume at least two of those players will in fact leave this offseason – Bradberry and Seumalo. They’re both coming off great seasons and will probably be out of the Eagles’ price range.
As for the remaining three listed, Roseman will more than likely prioritize each of them. We already know Gardner-Johnson is going to be a priority this offseason, as reported by Eagles inside Adam Caplan. Hargrave is going to be expensive but the Eagles always prioritize depth along their defensive line.
Then we have Edwards, who is a bit of a wildcard. I imagine the Eagles front office is going to wait and see what his market is once free agency begins before making him a serious offer. Nonetheless, he’s the quarterback of the defense and the team can’t afford losing both of their starting LBs from this past season. They’ll look to keep either Edwards or Kyzir White. My bet is that they value Edwards over White when it’s all said and done.
We’ll have to wait until Jalen Hurts’ gets signed before we have a clear understanding of what the Eagles’ plans are this offseason. It’s going to be a very interesting offseason in Philadelphia.
