Legal Tampering: Eagles lose stout DT to NFC rivals

Not long after TJ Edwards signed with the Chicago Bears, the Eagles lost their second defensive starter.
Per multiple reports, the 49ers are signing DT Javon Hargrave to a 4-year deal worth $84M, $40M guaranteed.

Rumors suggested that Hargrave was pushing for $20M/year, and he gets just that with his new contract in San Francisco. Now, Hargrave migrates from the NFL’s No. 2 defense to the NFL’s top defense, joining DPOY Nick Bosa and Arik Armstead along the defensive line.
Eagles’ fans probably won’t be fond of his move, considering Philadelphia dog-walked San Francisco in the NFC Championship Game and 49ers’ players whined about it for weeks on end.
Hargrave was widely regarded as the top free agent available this offseason, recording a career-high 11.0 sacks in 2022.
