WATCH: Eagles’ Jason Kelce is ecstatic to have Jalen Carter on his team

Eagles center Jason Kelce – like all of us – is ecstatic to have former Georgia DT Jalen Carter in Philly.
After his team traded up one spot to secure Carter, Kelce was seen at the NFL Draft leading Eagles chants and chugging beers like a true Philadelphian.
From that video alone, it’s pretty clear how Jason Kelce feels about the pick. Carter will join and already dominant defensive line in Philadelphia and continue to wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks.
On their most recent episode of “New Heights” with Jason and Travis Kelce, the Eagles center continued to gush over the pick.

“I was definitely very happy they took Jalen Carter,” Kelce said. “I think most mocks didn’t have him falling that low. Big question about Jalen his character concerns, right? Obviously, it’s a concern whenever there’s character stuff out there and you have to do homework and you have to vet different sources that you trust. But man, I think that people do a lot of growing in college, people do a lot of growing after college. . . As long as he does things right, as long as he goes about it the right way, as long as he dedicates himself, as long as he becomes a professional, he has a chance to have a life changing career in the NFL.”
Like Jason Kelce points out, you can’t completely overlook character concerns when they’re being floated out there as frequently as they were in regards to Carter. Nevertheless, Carter couldn’t have come to a better situation beginning his professional career. He’ll be surrounded by veterans who have been through it all at this level, along with several teammates he went to war with at Georgia.
At this point, there’s no reason to doubt Carter and his ability to reach his full potential in Philadelphia.
