The Arizona Diamondbacks have been one of the biggest surprises in the 2023 season, holding a 27-20 record through 47 games and trail the Dodgers by just a game and a half. They’re 7-3 over their last 10 games and hold a 13-10 road record with a +12 run differential throughout 2023.

Their offense is being led by a group of players to start the year. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. holds a .304 average on the season, while Christian Walker has totaled 11 HRs and 34 RBIs. Corbin Carroll has been their on-base leader, while catcher Gabriel Moreno is hitting .311 behind the dish.

Brandon Marsh gets the day off once again after a 1-18 skid at the plate. Josh Harrison will hit 8th at third base, Dalton Guthrie rounds out the lineup in center, and Nick Castellanos remains in the 2-hole.

Zack Wheeler takes the hill for his 6th home start tonight coming off an iffy outing in San Fran. Wheeler logged six total innings, allowing nine hits and four earned runs while striking out eight.

Wheeler holds a 3-3 record on the year with a 4.06 ERA but has excelled at home, tallying a 3.34 ERA in 29.2 innings with 34 Ks.

2nd-year lefty Tommy Henry will make his sixth start of the season tonight for the DBacks looking to find a bit of success on the road. Henry has logged a 7.20 ERA away from Chase Field and is coming off a tough start in Oakland, logging 4.2 innings while allowing six hits and four earned runs
