Brandon Marsh scratched from tonight’s game, officially ruled day-to-day

Phillies centerfielder Brandon Marsh has been scratched from tonight’s matchup with the Diamondbacks due to right shoulder inflammation.
Brandon Marsh Scratched: Officially Day-To-Day
Brandon Marsh has spent the last two nights on the bench as Rob Thomson believed the young outfielder needed a few days to reset at the plate. Marsh, after a steaming hot start to the season, is 1 for his last 18 and is slashing .067/.176/.067 in that time.
It seems now that maybe that two days off wasn’t just for a reset. Marsh will miss tonight’s game with right shoulder inflammation, and all we know at this moment is that the 25-year-old is “day-to-day”. Rob Thomson will provide an update on Marsh after the game.
Dalton Guthrie will now start his third consecutive game for the Phils. Matt Strahm will be used as an opener for tonight’s game, and Dylan Covey is set to make his Phillies debut following Strahm.
