WATCH: Eagles GM Howie Roseman says 2017 team was better than 2022 squad

Eagles GM Howie Roseman joined Chris Long on the most recent episode of Green Light podcast and the two discussed all things Birds.

Towards the end of the conversation, Long asked Howie which Eagles team he thought was better: The 2017 Super Bowl winning team, or the 2022 team that was three points away from bringing home the Lombardi.

“No, because we didn’t win a World Championship,” Roseman said. “The effort, the camaraderie of that team was unbelievable. But ’17 too was like that.”

At the end of the day, championships are all that matter. Whether you disagree with that sentiment or not, history remembers the victors, not the ones who got close to winning it all. We’ll all remember the 2022 Eagles for what they accomplished and how close they got, but the entire country remembers how Nick Foles defeated Tom Brady on the biggest stage in sports.
