The Philadelphia Eagles officially opened training camp today down at the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia.

Note: The “light” training camp schedule features just one open practice to the public on August 6th at Lincoln Financial Field.

While it’s definitely exciting that the NFL season is right around the corner, I’m personally not too big on training camp and preseason football games. Rest assured, I’ll be locked in come Week 1 when the Birds head to Foxboro to open up the regular season.

I have Eagles’ season tickets and on top of that, will be hitting the road with Phans of Philly and The Liberty Line for three away games this year so needless to say, I’ll be living and breathing Eagles football for the next five months minimum.

Last season with Phans of Philly, The Liberty Line headed out to Arizona to watch the Eagles face the Arizona Cardinals. Honestly, the timing shouldn’t be any more perfect since the Phillies just locked in a postseason spot and were playing the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Wild Card round.

To Note: Philadelphia went 3-0 on the Arizona trip. It literally couldn’t have worked out any better.
