Nick and Liam Castellanos talk strategy before at-bat in 5th inning

The legend of Liam Castellanos continues to grow. Nick’s son is a fixture at Phillies home games and occasionally makes an impact both on and off the field. So, it’s only right he coached up his pops before he headed to the plate in the 5th inning against the Washington Nationals.
Nick and Liam Castellanos discussed strategy ahead of a critical at-bat with two outs and two men on:
At this point, it’s clear Liam is the true Phillies manager. Topper is no more than a figurehead, and a damn good one at that.
His dad clearly responding: Casty has a .276 batting average with 8 hits, 3 homers, 7 RBIs, and 5 runs scored in 7 games this month. He’s certainly turned it around, assumedly because he finally accepted Liam’s tutelage. A generous offer he was smart to follow through on.
While that coaching session didn’t lead to a hit or any runs scored – a minor detail – we all know that Liam Castellanos has been personally responsible for at least a couple of wins during his tenure in Philly. The most notable was when he used a reflective baseball card to try and distract an opposing pitcher.

These two really do have a great father-son dynamic going. Always a great thing to see, no matter who you are or where you come from.
