Former Eagles wideout signs with Patriots ahead of Week 1 matchup

For the second year in a row, the Eagles will face arguably their biggest draft blunder of the past decade, WR Jalen Reagor.
As teams across the NFL finalized their 53-man rosters this week, Reagor was waived by the Minnesota Vikings. After clearing waivers, Reagor got snatched up by Bill Belichick and his New England Patriots as a member of their practice squad.

As Adam Schefter reports, there’s a chance Reagor is elevated to the active roster for Week 1, but it’s far from a guarantee. Even if he does get activated, there’s almost no chance he sees any playing time.
The Patriots wide receiver depth chart is already solidified, with JuJu Smith-Schuster, DaVante Parker, and Kendrick Bourne occupying the top-three spots. Reagor wouldn’t make sense as a kick or punt returner either; Marcus Jones is one of the better returners in the NFL.
Chances are, we won’t see our failed son on the field during Week 1. It’s probably for the best – embarrassing Reagor’s team twice in two years while he’s out there would just be overkill at this point.
