Cox has been stout to start the 2023 campaign. Through four games, he’s recorded 11 quarterback pressures, seven QB hits, and one sack. Losing him for an extended period of time would obviously not be ideal, but it appears Cox will only miss one game – if he misses any time at all.

In his place, we’ll likely see a lot more of Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis. Carter has logged 48 percent of the defensive snaps this season, while Davis has notched 30 percent. Milton Williams and Marlon Tuipulotu will also see more playing time than usual. They’ve posted PFF grades of 57.1 and 56.5 respectively this season.

By Friday, we should know what Cox’s status for Sunday’s game will be.
