Along with activating Dean, the Eagles have also elevated WR Devon Allen and CB Mekhi Garner. Wideout Quez Watkins, who missed the entire week of practice, was also placed on Injured Reserve. He’ll miss at least the next four weeks of action.

It’ll be interesting to see how Dean is integrated back into Sean Desai’s defense. All signs are point towards him retaining the green dot when he hits the field again, but which of the backers who’ve started in his place, Zach Cunningham and Nick Morrow, will come off the field is still a question mark. If I had to bet, I’d say Morrow remains a regular starter over Cunningham.

Morrow has been fantastic this season, earning an 84.1 PFF defensive grade through five games, good for fifth-highest among linebackers. If Dean can match his production once he’s back on the field, the Eagles defense will be even better than they’ve already been.
