The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs Monday Night Football matchup was officially the most watched NFL game of the 2023 season and the most watched MNF game in the last 25 years. 

Monday Night Football showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs averaged 28.9 million viewers, which marked the highest-rated Monday Night Football game in more than 25 years and the most-watched game over the 2023 season.

The Super Bowl rematch between the Chiefs and Eagles averaged 28.9 million viewers on Monday Night Football.

That makes it the most-watched MNF game in over 25 years and easily the most-watched NFL game this season.

If you really think about it, it should come as no surprise that a Super Bowl rematch with two superstar quarterbacks, two Hall of Fame brothers on opposing teams, and Taylor Swift being mentioned every five seconds was the perfect recipe for insane viewership numbers.

Hurts scored two rushing touchdowns in the second half, while the Eagles’ defense held the Chiefs without a point following intermission. The result? The Eagles earned an impressive comeback 21-17 victory over the Chiefs to improve to 9-1 on the season.

Taking a look around the NFL, I think it’s safe to say that the Eagles and Chiefs stand above the rest in terms of favorites to play in the Super Bowl. No doubt about it, ratings would continue to skyrocket if that becomes a reality.
