Eagles Buzz: Updated look at NFC playoff picture following loss vs. 49ers
With a win over the 49ers in Week 13, the Eagles would’ve improved to 11-2 and maintained a firm grasp on the NFC’s No. 1 overall seed.
Instead, Brock Purdy, Deebo Samuel, and Co. steamrolled Philly on Sunday, leaving the top seed up for grabs with five games remaining.

Philadelphia’s loss to San Francisco makes next week’s matchup vs. Dallas even more interesting. If the Cowboys come out victorious, they’ll be tied with Philly for the division lead, although the Eagles will own the tiebreaker due to their record against NFC opponents.
Deniz Selman on Twitter provided a detailed tiebreaker scenario between Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, and Detroit. Essentially, it’s a neck-and-neck race for the No. 1 seed, and Philadelphia can’t afford another loss like the one they suffered yesterday.

The Eagles still have margin for error to win the NFC East: they win the tiebreaker w/DAL if both teams finish 14-3.
