Eagles DT calls out teammates following blowout loss to Cowboys

On the heels of an ass-whooping to San Francisco, the Eagles marched into Dallas on Sunday night and suffered another blowout loss.

Philadephia looked unfocused, unmotivated, and outclassed in every way, leaving many to question the true mentality of this team. The Eagles are now the first team since 1983 to enter 8+ games above .500 and lose by 20+ points in back-to-back games.

No team in history has won a Super Bowl after losing back-to-back games by 15+ points.

Following the defeat, DT Fletcher Cox sent a message to his teammates:

“I think the biggest thing for this team now is really find out who the dudes are,” Cox said, via a team transcript. “And that’s always the case. And I’ve been part of teams where the dudes in the locker room do something about it.

“And I’ve been a part of the team where, you know, it kind of crumbles. But now it’s time to see the real leadership. The real players. The guys that are elite on this team, myself included, step up and do something about it. Get this team another win.”

A team that was once 10-1 and in firm control of the NFC has now fallen to the fifth seed with four games to go. Philadelphia can still clinch the division if they win, but every question about this team moving forward is valid.

The Eagles have the easiest remaining schedule in the NFL over the final four weeks, facing the Seahawks, Giants, Cardinals, and Giants again.

Whoever doesn’t win the NFC East will likely be road favorites over the NFC South winner in the wildcard.
