WATCH: CB Jack Jones intercepts Patrick Mahomes for a Pick-6, fools young Chiefs fan with football gift on Christmas Day

Las Vegas cornerback Jack Jones intercepted Patrick Mahomes in the second quarter of yesterday’s 20-14 Christmas Day upset victory for the Raiders over the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Raiders were leading 9-7 in the second quarter after scoring on a fumble returned for a touchdown. On Kansas City’s first play from scrimmage following the Raiders’ TD, Patrick Mahomes got picked off by Jack Jones, which was then returned 33-yards for another touchdown to extend Las Vegas’ lead to 17-7. 

After scoring the touchdown, Jones ran over the the stands behind the end zone and pretended to give the ball to a young Chiefs fan. Instead of actually handing the football over, Jones pulled it away as the young fan reached for it.

Side Note: According to reports, Jones took the ball away because an adult (who is viewable near the end of the clip before it cuts) tried to take the ball away from the kid.

Regardless of why Jones pulled the football back, I absolutely love the move here.

A lot of people were upset (shocker) on social media and I couldn’t disagree more. Credit to Jones for playing the villain role with flawless execution reminiscent to the Grinch stealing Christmas. 

Anyone who feels bad for this kid sitting in the best seats Arrowhead Stadium has to offer is simply soft and just looking for something to complain about. 

Honestly, I was hoping that Jack Jones would double-down on his decision with a Michael Jordan “Fuck Them Kids” meme postgame, but he still crushed it with the perfect response to all of the keyboard warriors on Instagram following the game.
