John Tortorella doesn’t know Cutter Gauthier from a hole in the wall, would rather talk about Jamie Drysdale

John Tortorella spoke with the media following the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins last night. The topic of conversation? A traitor by the name of Cutter Gauthier, who the Flyers selected with the No. 5 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, only to learn that he refuses to play hockey in Philly.

The Anaheim Mighty Ducks selected defenseman Jamie Drysdale No. 6 overall in the 2020 NHL Draft. 

Drysdale, who has battled injuries throughout his young NHL career, has 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) in 10 games with the Ducks this season. So is that good for the Flyers? Lose an offensive threat and top 5 pick in Gauthier for a kid who’s battled injuries early in his career? 

Fuck if I know but what I can tell you, getting a 21-year old right-handed defender that has a chance to be on the top defensive line for the Flyers for years to come sounds pretty fucking good to me. 

Not to mention, the Flyers have four picks in the first two rounds this year, and got another second round pick in the trade for 2025. Mix in Drysdale who has tremendous upside and the Flyers will be just fine without a fucking dork like Gauthier, who by the looks of it, is nothing more than a 19-year old entitled little prick.
