NFL Free Agency: Three players who could reunite with Kellen Moore in Philadelphia
With a new offensive coordinator comes new ideas, a new system, and potentially, new players.
Kellen Moore spent four years with the Dallas Cowboys before his lone season with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023. As the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator from 2019 to 2022, Moore’s offense ranked in the top four in points per game (27.7), yards per game (391), and third-down conversion percentage (44%).
As the Eagles re-tool their roster this offseason, players who thrived under Moore could look for a reunion in Philadelphia. Here are three free agents to keep an eye on:
WR Noah Brown
Brown, a former seventh-round pick, had a breakout season in Kellen Moore’s final year at Dallas, catching a career-high 43 passes for 555 yards and three touchdowns. Injuries to Michael Gallup opened up opportunities for Brown, and his efforts earned him a one-year, $2.6M deal with the Texans.
Despite starting the season on IR with groin issues, Brown saw another solid year in Houston, recording career-highs in receiving yards (567) and yards per catch (17.2).
The 28-year-old receiver can play inside or outside and excelled in creating space for C.J. Stroud on broken plays — a skill that would benefit Jalen Hurts greatly in scramble drills.
The Eagles got virtually no production from their receivers beyond AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith last season; Noah Brown would be an efficient WR3.

TE Dalton Schultz
Tight ends have played a significant role in Kellen Moore’s system, and Dalton Schultz was a product of that.
From 2020-2022, Schultz tallied 198 receptions for 2,000 yards and 17 TDs, seventh in the NFL during that span. Like Noah Brown, Schultz served as a reliable security blanket for C.J. Stroud last season.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert has missed eight games over the last two seasons, and the offense struggled mightily in those contests. Schultz could be a quality insurance policy and even be deployed with Goedert in 12-personnel formations.

TE Gerald Everett
If Schultz is too rich for Howie Roseman’s blood, Gerald Everett would be a nice consolation prize.
Everett posted 109 catches for 966 yards and seven TDs in two seasons with the Chargers. Like most of the offense when Justin Herbert got hurt, Everett suffered a down year in 2023 but is still a shifty player in space.
Among tight ends, Everett was tied for second in broken tackles with David Njoku and Sam LaPorta — giving the Eagles another YAC weapon alongside AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.
