NFL insider suggests Eagles will face Browns for season opener in Brazil
We still have a few months to go before we see the full Philadelphia Eagles schedule for 2024, but just about two weeks ago, we did learn that the team will open their season in São Paulo, Brazil.
The Eagles opponent in Brazil is still unknown, supposedly.
NFL insider Peter King knows a thing or two about ball, and in his weekly Football Morning in America column, he hinted that the Cleveland Browns will be the other team making the Week 1 trip down the Brazil.

He didn’t provide much elaboration on it, simply writing, “Feeling good about Cleveland-Philadelphia in Brazil on the evening of Friday, Sept. 6.” Not much to really to dive into there. But if Peter King is suggesting it, there’s probably some truth to it.
I will say – that’s one of the least enticing potential matchups for the NFL’s first-ever Brazil game. No disrespect to the Browns, they’ve come a long way as an organization. I’m just surprised the NFL didn’t go with a blueblood franchise like Green Bay or Pittsburgh. Not to mention the fact that Cleveland’s quarterback isn’t exactly the best representation of the league. But then again, maybe the NFL just doesn’t care! You can never rule that out of the equation.
We’ll still have to wait a little bit to see if King’s ‘feeling’ comes true or not.
