As Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns took the court last night in Dallas, two Mavericks fans decided to yell over to KD, calling him a “bitch” – which prompted the Suns’ superstar to pivot back over to them and share a few words of his own. What happened next might be the most bizarre interaction between fans and a professional athlete I’ve ever seen.

There is so much to unpack in this video. We’ll start with Kevin Durant, who is arguably the coolest dude in the NBA and had to stop and address these two bozos in the stands after one of the two called him a “bitch” as he took the court. 

This woman literally tried to hit KD with the “Big Dog” Tiger Woods meme.

The switch up was absolutely insane. How can you go from calling Kevin Durant a “bitch” and then try to do this? People who lack that much self-awareness really never cease to amaze me. I can’t believe she thought KD would all of the sudden be cool with being called a bitch by these two and want to make peace by touching hands.

Things only got worse from there. The male Mavericks fan then tried to reason with Kevin Durant by telling him that he actually has a “podcast…about sports” – like that was supposed to make this entire situation more understandable.

Christ almighty, dude. Have some dignity.

I promise you, Kevin Durant does not give two shits about your podcast about sports and honestly, by the way you’re choosing to market your product, I really don’t think anyone is outside of your lady friend who we all know is walking around in LaLa Land completely clueless on how to appropriately interact with not only athletes but human beings in general.

What was the play here?

Dallas Mavericks Fan: “I’m going to call Kevin Durant a bitch to get a reaction and when he does, I’m going to tell him about my podcast (about sports) and maybe he’ll be interested in listening or even coming on as a guest.”

What a wild thought process.

Obviously, Kevin Durant wasn’t happy about the initial comments and the result wasn’t going to be a positive one. KD had both fans kicked out of the game. Maybe next time when these two crawl out of their holes to interact with people in public, they’ll choose their words more carefully.
