Report: Eagles sign young CB with versatility to one-year deal
With the Eagles releasing Avonte Maddox earlier this month, slot cornerback will be a position of need heading into 2024.
Philadelphia acquired some nickel depth on Wednesday, signing former Raiders CB Tyler Hall to a one-year contract.

He’s started 6 games over 4 seasons with the Raiders, Rams and Falcons, has 4 passes defensed.
Has position versatility and experience playing the slot. Played 83 snaps on special teams for Raiders in 2023.
Hall, 25, has played primarily out of the slot in his career but can also play outside and safety. The Raiders, who were internally high on Hall, didn’t have a role for him with Nate Hobbs as the established slot CB.
Hall reportedly had offers from multiple teams before landing with the Eagles. In 31 career games with the Rams and Raiders, Hall logged 46 tackles and four pass-breakups.
If he sticks around in training camp, Hall could be a versatile piece for Vic Fangio’s defense.
Great pickup for Philly. Tyler Hall is one of those guys that just does everything well. Great in coverage, can apply pressure on blitzes, rarely misses tackles (has never missed more than 1 in a season) https://t.co/5J6TCvLUmT
