Eagles among 6 teams Deion Sanders will ‘allow’ his sons to play for in the NFL
As the Philadelphia Eagles prepare for the 2024 NFL Draft, Deion Sanders has graciously granted six teams permission to draft his two sons — Shedur and Shilo Sanders — along with Travis Hunter in next year’s draft. With the Eagles being one of them.
All three players will be draft eligible next season, and all signs are pointing to the trio entering the 2025 NFL Draft. According to a story from the New York Post, Sanders has six teams he will “allow” his Colorado trio to play for in the NFL — the Falcons, Cowboys, Commanders, 49ers, Ravens, and Eagles.

I know there are some that think this kind of stuff is going to become commonplace in the NFL soon. Where high profile draft prospects will start to use their leverage and choose where they want to go. But I just don’t buy it — especially for these three prospects.
As of now, none of these guys are universally considered first-round picks. Travis Hunter could definitely push his way into first-round territory with another solid season, but as for Shedur and Shilo Sanders, let’s be real.
Shilo Sanders ranked 217th in Pro Football Focus grading last season and Shedur ranked 24th. That doesn’t necessarily mean their games won’t translate to the NFL, but those grades at least give us some insight into how they stand among their contemporaries.
Prospects who come into the NFL with built-in leverage are few and far between. Caleb Williams is the latest, but even he isn’t fighting against the idea of playing for Chicago next season — a team who has never had a true franchise quarterback.
Say what you want about Deion Sanders, but the guy isn’t a dummy. And more often than not, he follows through with what he says. So, maybe he will see this through and force Shilo, Shedur, and Hunter to certain organizations. At least I can die happy knowing the Eagles could be one of them.
