WATCH: DeSean Jackson crip walks to latest Kendrick Lamar diss track

Finally, I’ve found a way to link the ongoing Kendrick Lamar-Drake beef to Philly sports. On Saturday, Kendrick had former Eagles WR DeSean Jackson crip walking to his latest diss record, “Not Like Us.”

For those of you who haven’t been on your phone this weekend, you’ve missed a lot. Long story short, the rap beef hit a fever pitch Friday night with Drake’s release of “Family Matters,” where he calls out Kendrick for being a wife beater. Less than 30 minutes later, Kendrick responded with “meet the grahams,” which is essentially an open letter to everyone in Drake’s family. He addressed his son Adonis, his mother Sandi, another 11-year-old daughter that Drake is allegedly hiding, and finally, Aubrey Graham himself.

It sent shockwaves through the hip-hop world. Drake’s “Family Matters” is legitimately some of his best work, but “meet the grahams” was so raw and personal. The dust couldn’t even settle on that diss track exchange before Kendrick dropped another one, “Not Like Us.” While it’s not as scathing as “meet the grahams,” it’s a certified banger and had everyone, including DeSean Jackson, crip walking to it.

DeSean Jackson grew up in Compton, the same Los Angeles neighborhood Kendrick is from. So it shouldn’t surprise anyone to see which side DJax is on here.

As a lover of hip-hop, I’m here for all of this beef. We haven’t had this level of rap beef since the early 2000’s and it undoubtedly adds to the culture of hip-hop. I’m definitely more of a Kendrick fan than I am a Drake fan, but I’ve enjoyed what they’ve both put out thus far. At the end of the day, I don’t think I’m actually qualified to share my opinion on the beef. I’m just here for good music.
