WATCH: Rick Carlisle ejected from Game 2, rips horrific officials in postgame press conference

Once again, the officiating in the Knicks vs Pacers series was highly questionable. After a complete clown show in Game 1, the refs reprised their role as the Three Stooges, much to the dismay of Indiana coach Rick Carlisle.

Rick Carlisle had seen enough after an “inadvertent whistle” and was tossed unceremoniously:

Reggie Miller: How is it inadvertent? I heard it. I heard the whistle and the call.

Brian Anderson: And the signal.

Miller: Right. And the signal. He signaled, double-dribble.

This call was actually correct in the end, but when you get screwed so many times, even the correction of a mistake feels like a screw job. That play wasn’t even his main issue, but if a straw can break a camel’s back, poor officiating can break even the strongest man’s psyce.

His biggest issue has been the lack of consistency, and I can’t help but agree. Not only are the calls not consistent in this series, but we just saw Michael Malone storm the court and make an even bigger fuss without even receiving a technical.

I’m sure Carlisle isn’t paying attention to that other series, but as a fan, it just further confirms the NBA and its officials are a complete and total joke.

His series is frustrating enough, and he went on to criticize the nonsense officiating the Pacers have had to deal with over the first two games.

In case you missed it, here’s the one play he was referencing where Hart shoved Halliburton in the back. I’m all for physical playoff basketball, but let’s just get some consistency for Game 3, yeah?
