AJ Brown’s encouraging text to rookie WR Ainias Smith after getting drafted by Eagles

Star WR AJ Brown prides himself on being one of the Eagles’ prominent leaders, both on and off the field.

The latest example of his leadership came during the 2024 NFL Draft, where rookie WR Ainias Smith was drafted by Philadelphia in the fifth round out of Texas A&M.

Soon after being selected, Smith received a welcome message from AJ Brown.

Much has been made of Brown’s antics during his time with the Eagles, with media pundits claiming he’s selfish and a distraction at times.

According to his teammates and Brown himself, people mistake his passion for discontent with the franchise, when in reality, he just loves the game.

The rumors were laid to rest once the Eagles rewarded Brown with a three-year mega-extension worth 96M, keeping him in Philadelphia through 2029.

Now Brown will mentor and set an example for young receivers in Philadelphia for years to come, starting with Ainias Smith.
