Shane Gillis set to throw out first pitch vs Rangers
Stand up comic and rabid Philly sports fan Shane Gillis is set to throw out the first pitch before the Phillies take on the Texas Rangers this week. Joining him will be former Phillie Domonic Brown the next night.
Shane Gillis will throw out the first pitch for Wednesday’s game, with Dom Brown doing the honors on Thursday:

I have to say, this is huge for the brand, and I’m not talking about Gillis personally. The Phillies roster is chock-full of fun-loving dudes that love a light beer, so this is a match made in heaven.
Gillis is on a generational run right now. His Netflix special Beautiful Dogs was the final step in his recovery from his infamous firing from SNL back in 2019, and he parlayed that into a new series Tires on the streaming giant.
Honestly, if Shane Gillis ended up staying on at SNL, I don’t know if he’d be having the same success. Everything happens for a reason, I suppose.
Tires premiers on May 23, so this is a perfectly timed publicity move. Not that it was really needed, though, since Netflix renewed the project for a second season.
Don't follow her like a pig, okay?
