Snubbed: Caitlin Clark left off Women’s Team USA Basketball roster, arguably the worst decision in Olympics history

According to reports, WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark is expected to be left off the Olympics Women’s Basketball roster in favor of three other first-time selections.

The Athletic has reported that Alyssa Thomas, Kahleah Copper, and Sabrina Ionescu will all be making their Olympic debuts at the 2024 games in Paris later this summer.

Other members of the women’s basketball team include A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Brittney Griner, Napheesa Collier, Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray, and the 41-year-old Diana Taurasi.

Summary: Clark was initially invited to the final training camp for Team USA but was unable to attend because of the Women’s NCAA March Madness Tournament.

Honestly, women’s basketball continues to get in their own way and bite the hand that feeds. Caitlin Clark obviously deserved to be one of the top selections for the Team USA roster and the fact that she’ll likely be an alternate alongside Brionna Jones is just laughable.

In college, Clark became the all-time Division I scorer and took home two National Player of the Year awards. Since entering the WNBA after being selected first overall by the Indiana Fever, she has become a worldwide superstar.

Proof? Look no further than this article. There’s only one WMNBA player that could get a group of Philly misfits writing multiple articles about her and the league that in all reality, no one gave a shit about until she was drafted earlier this year.

On Friday night, Clark had herself yet another historic performance, hitting seven 3-pointers and dropping a career-best 30 points to go along with eight rebounds, six assists and four steals in a victory over the Washington Mystics.

Anyways, leaving Caitlin Clark off the Olympic roster is beyond ridiculous. If you want to question her experience and talent? Just don’t. There are multiple women who are making their first Olympics team this season. On top of that, she’s a marketing machine

Caitlin Clark should be on the roster just to make people care about the women’s Team USA basketball team. Don’t want to play her? Fine. She would still be the most popular basketball player on planet Earth regardless.

Wake up, WNBA. You’re embarrassing yourselves.
