WATCH: DeVonta Smith puts on a spectacular showing at Eagles Training Camp, continued it by shutting down a reporter’s Hurts-Sirianni relationship question

The Philadelphia Eagles returned to the NovaCare Complex on Saturday morning following their walkthrough on Friday.

Aside from Jalen Hurts being absolutely surgical and pinpoint accurate on his passes, DeVonta Smith stole the show by hauling in several deep balls including one of his signature “go up and get it” snags.

Based off all reports from those who attended practice, DeVonta “dazzled” as a route-runner and reeled in several passes that showcased his entire skillset as receiver.

I must admit, I think we are spoiled as Eagles fans to have such an elite wide-receiver duo in AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. We literally use to pray for times like this.

As Brown said in his presser earlier in the week, he and Smitty are like peanut butter and jelly and the numbers each put up throughout the season support that statement.

DeVonta Smith Stats:

• 2021: 64 REC | 916 YDS | 5 TD
• 2022: 95 REC | 1,196 YDS | 7 TD
• 2023: 81 REC | 1,066 YDS | 7 TD

A.J. Brown Stats (Eagles):

• 2022: 88 REC | 1,496 YDS | 11 TD
• 2023: 106 REC | 1,456 YDS | 7 TD

Both have gone over the 1,000 yard mark in their first two seasons together and now, with a brand new offense led by Kellen Moore and a significant upgrade to the running game, I can’t even begin to imagine how open the field will be for Brown and Smitty to feast on opposing defenses this season.

Following his impressive day at training camp, DeVonta Smith continued it by shutting down any type of question asked for the sole purpose of stirring up controversy.

For whatever reason, the media can’t get enough of the Hurts-Sirianni relationship questions even after both of them shut down any notion that there were issues between them.

While everything seemed pretty straight forward, the media attempted to turn their line of questioning elsewhere to get answers or at the very least, a quote – which led to a perfect response from DeVonta Smith.

DEVONTA SMITH IS NOT INTERESTED IN THE PHILLY MEDIA AGENDAS…

They tried to ask him about Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurt's relationship, & he said “I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU’re TALKING ABOUT.”

All business, you gotta love it.

It’s not just him though the entire team just seems so locked in and the vibes seem incredibly high. Sometimes we as sports fans put too much stock into things like this but for this Eagles team it just feels different and after the first week of camp, all indications point for an exciting season of Eagles football.
