Conor McGregor takes shots, does Eagles chants with fans at Chickie’s & Pete’s in Philadelphia
Conor McGregor isn’t just making headlines in the octagon anymore—he’s also making big waves in the world of whiskey and stout.
After co-founding Proper No. 12 Whiskey in 2018, Conor McGregor cashed in with a massive payday in 2021, reportedly earning $130 million by selling his majority stake. While he remains a part-owner, the Irishman has already moved on to his next venture: Forged Irish Stout.
Named after The Black Forge Inn, a pub McGregor bought in 2020, Forged Irish Stout is designed to be a true Irish-style brew, and McGregor’s been taking it on a tour across the U.S.
On his recent stop in Philadelphia, Conor McGregor paid a visit to Chickie’s & Pete’s on Packer Avenue, where he got in the local spirit, rocking an Eagles jacket and serving up drinks to fans while sporting a Philadelphia Eagles t-shirt.

The two-division UFC champ took time to snap pictures with fans, including none other than Big Dom Disandro, the Eagles’ Chief Security Officer—and a Philly legend in his own right. The energy in the bar was buzzing, with McGregor soaking up the Philly love while promoting his stout.

Launched in 2018, Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey is named after McGregor’s hometown of Crumlin, Dublin 12. The whiskey is crafted from a blend of golden grain and single malt, and it’s quickly become a fan favorite for its smooth taste and affordability— which here in Philly is perfect for those who want quality without breaking the bank.
As for his return to the octagon, fans are still waiting. McGregor’s been sidelined since 2021, with a proposed fight against former Bellator Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler repeatedly postponed due to injuries. But if his stop in Philly is any indication, McGregor is staying sharp and connected with fans—even outside the cage.
