Report: Eagles DT Jalen Carter punished for being late to team event last week

Defensive tackle Jalen Carter wasn’t on the field for Philadelphia’s first defensive series against Atlanta on Monday night, apparently as punishment for tardiness.

Per the Inquirer’s Jeff McLane, Carter was late for a team event last week and didn’t start on defense as a result.

Whether this was Nick Sirianni’s or defensive coordinator Vic Fangio’s decision is unclear.

Carter came onto the field for Atlanta’s second offensive possession and led all defensive tackles with 46 snaps played. He finished the game with one assisted tackle.
