C.J. Gardner-Johnson claps back at Micah Parsons following ignorant comments
As we put NFL Week 3 in the rearview, the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are in drastically different positions.
The Eagles are coming off a gutsy win over a hot Saints team averaging 45.5 points per game, while the Cowboys fell to 1-2 and have the makings of a disastrous season ahead of them.
Following their victory in New Orleans, safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson took a shot at his former team and starting QB Derek Carr.
“They ain’t no contenders they’re pretenders,” Gardner-Johnson said. “They have Derek Carr remember that.”
Amidst his own frustration, Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons gave his opinion on the boisterous DB’s comments on his podcast The Edge with Micah Parsons.
“I don’t know who [CJ Gardner-Johnson] thinks he is,” Parsons said. “We’ve been dealing with this cat for a while.”
Gardner-Johnson responded to Parsons on social media.
Fam the league knows who I am (forget the narrative) @MicahhParsons11 !! You can check my track record and how I over came a lot! Won a lot more playoff games than you too my guy 🫡

C.J. has a point; the league is well aware of who he is for one reason or another, and Parsons should focus on helping his team rather than chirping at the Eagles.
Regardless, the upcoming Week 10 matchup between the division rivals will have even more juice behind it now.
Gardner-Johnson recorded eight total tackles and a pass breakup on Sunday as he helped Philly’s defense hold the Saints to 219 yards of total offense.
