Hawktober Woes: Mets doomed to postseason failure by Hawk Tuah Girl endorsement
The Mets made the postseason after splitting their season-ending doubleheader with the Atlanta Braves on Monday. This will have them head to Milwaukee to face the Brewers in the Wild Card to start their playoff journey.
Unfortunately for the Mets, they’re doomed to fail, all thanks to the Hawk Tuah Girl:

At this point, New York shouldn’t even take the field in Milwaukee for the Wild Card series. This is a bad omen, plus Rhys Hoskins already owns them.
I have to say, I’m almost impressed by how the Mets have had one of the cringiest runs to the playoffs in MLB history. I don’t fully understand why Grimace became a thing with them this season, but I looked it up before writing this and dislike it even more than I initially anticipated.
Couple that with Haliey Welch throwing out the first pic and apparently adopting the Mets as her favorite baseball team, and I don’t think the New York even score a run in the postseason. It’s that serious of a hex.
There is no hate in my heart for the Hawk Tuah Girl. She seems like a lovely person. What I hate is that I exist as part of a society that allows this type of fame to flourish. It’s really weighed heavy on my psyche lately. Maybe I need to go on meds, I don’t know.
ANYWAY, I also hate the New York Mets. So, yeah, I’m praying Rhys and the Brewers rock them on national TV so I can blame the Hawk Tuah Girl and laugh.
