WATCH: Eagles’ Quinyon Mitchell would not back down from Mike Evans matchup, while Darius Slay and Avonte Maddox were buddy-buddy

The Philadelphia Eagles are in desperate need of dogs on the defensive side of the ball. Luckily, they seem to have one in rookie corner Quinyon Mitchell, who refused to take any shit from All-Pro wideout Mike Evans during their Week 4 matchup.

At least the Eagles have one dude who’s a Dog

If you watch the whole clip, you’ll see the other side of the coin. Players who aren’t really into it like Mitchell is. I’m of course talking about Darius Slay and Avonte Maddox, both of whom act all buddy-buddy with Evans while their team is getting dog walked up and down the field.

The Slay-Evans interaction isn’t awful — the Tampa WR is really just congratulating Slay on a long career. As for Maddox, his interaction is embarrassing.

He asks Evans if he still games and that they should hop on Fortnite together again. I’m sorry, is this fucking middle school? In the heat of battle, getting your ass kicked, you decide to ask your opponent if they want to game together sometime. I mean, c’mon.

Mind you, Maddox has been the worst player in the Eagles secondary this season. Considering how bad the secondary has been as a whole, that’s saying something. The last thing you should be worried about is Fortnite my boy. Hit the film room or hit the bench.

Disgusting stuff.
