P. Diddy is a Mets fan, giving Phillies fans another reason to hate them

After Thursday night’s wild comeback win by the New York Mets, the stage is set for a Phillies vs. Mets NLDS. And if you needed any other reason to hate the Mets other than the fact that they’re just the Mets, I’ll give you one more.

Yep, Sean Combs is in fact a New York Mets fanatic. Being from New York, it’s no surprise he likes his hometown team. His love for the team has been well documented over the years.

Diddy has been seen in the team locker room after games with his son, everywhere he goes in New York he seems to wearing Mets gear, and he even received a key to the city just last year by Mayor Eric Adams.

“I’m a New York boy, and I just got to key to the city, and everything is just a little surreal right now,” Diddy told USA Today at the key ceremony. “God blessed me with a second chance at life. I’ve decided there’s another mountain for me to conquer. I’m looking for the next era in my life, and that’s the love era. That’s really being a unifier, fighting for radical change and making some beautiful music for people to feel good to.”

Crazy that this happened in 2023 — when a lot of what Diddy was doing was already well known.

So, on top of Diddy being a Mets fan, the scumbag city the Mets reside in had the audacity to give this man a key to their city — just over a year ago. Sure, they revoked they key once the Diddy situation became the biggest story in the country. But you can’t tell me Mayor Adams, along with other politicians in the city, weren’t aware of what Puff was up to. His ‘Freak Offs,’ his now infamous ‘Hard Boiled Egg Test.’ I bet Mayor Adams took that test. Probably why he gave Diddy a key to the city in the first place.

I’m getting carried away now. Just know, when you’re rooting for the Phillies this weekend, not only are you rooting for your favorite baseball team, you’re rooting for justice. You’re rooting against one of the most despicable human beings of this century and the city that honored him. Go Phils.
