Standout rookies Quinyon Mitchell, Malik Nabers highlight Eagles vs. Giants Week 7 showdown

One of the top storylines in Sunday’s matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants doesn’t involve the return of Saquon Barkley. Instead, it focuses on the impressive rookie class.

Eagles’ first-round cornerback Quinyon Mitchell has quietly dominated coverage statistics in his debut season, ranking third in the NFL with eight forced incompletions.

On the opposite side, sixth-overall pick Malik Nabers has emerged as a standout when healthy for the Giants.

Nabers led the league in targets before sustaining a concussion vs. Dallas, recording 35 receptions for 386 yards and three touchdowns in four games, averaging 96.5 receiving yards per game.

Mitchell and Nabers are already viewed as key building blocks for their respective franchises. The Giants have been searching for a game-changing weapon in the passing attack, while the Eagles have been hunting for a young, lockdown cornerback for years.

As the Eagles and Giants meet in Week 7, it presents a prime opportunity for both teams and their fanbases to witness the potential of these rising stars — and the birth of a budding rivalry within the division.
