WATCH: Jalen Hurts praises Nick Sirianni’s leadership following Eagles 28-3 victory over the Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles have been the target of plenty of criticism this season, with negative headlines swirling around the team. Most of those being related to Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni, but despite all the chatter, the Birds sit at 4-2, right on the heels of the 5-2 Washington Commanders in the NFC East standings. Keep in mind, Washington hasn’t had its bye week yet, while the Eagles already have—meaning the race is far from over.

The Eagles are currently on a two-game winning streak after their statement win over the Giants on Sunday. After starting the season 2-2 and taking advantage of their early bye week, Philly has come out swinging. Beating one of their biggest NFC East rivals, Jalen Hurts showed love for head coach Nick Sirianni in his post-game interview.

Jalen Hurts on Eagles HC Nick Sirianni

“Obviously, he knows that I’m behind him. He knows that communication is important amongst the team sport. He’s been doing a really good job of doing that. He talks about everybody dominating their box and trying to check off their boxes given the roles that you have. I feel like he’s come in with really good intensity, intentionality, and trying to deliver good messages for us to be focused and engaged. He’s also apologetic when he needs to be.”

What’s really stood out over the last few weeks is Jalen Hurts’ unwavering support for his head coach Nick Sirianni. It seems he has taken his public backing of Sirianni to a whole new level, showing confidence in the coach’s leadership despite any outside noise. This constant vocal support from the team’s franchise quarterback seems to be a great sign moving forward.

Sirianni obviously caught plenty of heat during the first few weeks of the season, with many questioning if he was coaching for his job every single week. However, the tides seem to be turning and Nick has the full support of his players. Which is truly the most important thing he can do right now for this team, is have all their support.
