Eagles country song

This new Eagles country song should end team songs for good

I don’t know who asked for this, but some guy just made a new Eagles country song. I’ve only seen the new snippet below, but I’m hoping this ends the concept of the team song once and for all.

I’m giving this new Eagles country song two thumbs down:

I want to be very clear about something. I have no hate in my heart for Holdyn Barder as a person. He’s clearly a talented guy, and the audio production is top notch.

Sadly, the song is terrible. But I knew it was going to be before I turned it on because, well, all team songs suck, regardless of how talented the artist is.

That’s what makes it suck even more. This guy has the talent to make a great song, and I’m sure he has, but he used it to make an Eagles country song.

In fact, the team songs done by people with actual skill are even more cringeworthy than ones made by talentless dopes. I like the infamous “Padres on the Loose” more than I like this track.

I also don’t understand a country song being recorded in Philadelphia about a Philly team. I can’t think of anything less country. We literally sent soldiers to fight for the Union in the Civil War, and they laid the smackdown down in Dixie.

And for those thinking, “Oh you’re just a hater, you couldn’t even sing that well if you tried.” You’re wrong. I actually could without trying. Look me up on YouTube if you feel like eating your words accompanied by the dulcet tones of The Colby Eight, Colby College’s longest-lasting all-male a cappella group.

I know I said I don’t hate him, but the I remembered he did the same thing for the Phillies this year. I think that song single-handedly killed the Phillies’ bats in NLDS.

So, yeah, no more team songs, folks. Except for the Colts guy, this dude fuckin rips.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
