Fake News, Lame-stream Philly Sports Talk Radio propagandists from the WIP Morning Show release ridiculous poll ahead of Joel Embiid’s season debut tonight vs Knicks
Honestly, I woke up this morning feeling pretty damn good about the day ahead until I opened X (formally known as Twitter) and saw this poll on my “For You” timeline from the WIP Morning Show asking if Philadelphia 76ers fans would boo Joel Embiid tonight during the team’s introductions.
Joel Embiid is making his season debut tonight after missing the first nine games of the season. The 76ers have been battling it out with a team that resembles “The Process” (pun intended) rather than what fans hoped to see: a Big 3 featuring Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, and Embiid contending for the best team in the Eastern Conference.
Instead, we have injuries galore, an organizational disaster-class on handling communication about Embiid’s injuries, a technical foul issued to Embiid while he was on the bench and not playing, and a bunch of dickhead reporters talking shit and then playing victim when the players bite back.
The 76ers are 2-7 on the season. They are tied for 13th place in the East with only the Bucks (2-8) and the Raptors (2-9) posting worst records.
Joel Embiid, when healthy, is the best basketball player in the world. Philadelphia 76ers’ fans know that and love him for it. The NBA Deep State knows it too but simply can’t get over the mentioned “Process” and continue to everything to keep Embiid in the gutter.
All that is very well known. The question remains however, is why our very own WIP Morning Show continues to push fake narratives and headlines by making up things that simply don’t exist among this fanbase and their emotions towards Embiid.
With that, I present you the WIP Morning Show poll of the day:
How Would You Greet Joel Embiid When He Is Introduced?
Honestly, I really don’t have much to say outside of the fact that the WIP Morning Show really outdid their normal level of “stupidity” with this poll question. This is just another example of classic Philly Sports Talk Radio.
Literally no one in the right minds was going to boo Joel Embiid tonight in his season debut against the New York Knicks. I would bet the house that there wasn’t a single Philadelphia 76ers fan that even had the thought pop into their heads this morning.

The WIP Morning Show makes up a poll on something that doesn’t exist and pushes it across the airwaves and social media as if it’s an actual talking point.
From there, that poll is the basis of their entire show and dumbass Philly sports “fans” call in to give the typical run-of-mill criticisms of Joel Embiid and then, they call in their “76ers expert”, Spike Eskin, to offer a counter-point on the subject at hand.
Shocker: Spike Eskin is on air talking about “Joel Embiid’s Reception”
Of course, no one actually believes that Joel Embiid was in the wrong for anything that happened over the first what, 10 games of the season?
This city and fanbase went from bitching about Embiid not being healthy in the playoffs to now criticizing him for not playing in October and November like any other player in the NBA is actually taking this part of the schedule seriously.
- Criticize Joel Embiid for injury history in the playoffs.
- Criticize Joel Embiid for not playing in October/November.
MAKE. IT. MAKE. SENSE.
Side Note: Maybe fans will boo because tonight is Game 1 of the ever-so-pointless NBA Cup? That could be a reason, actually. The reason is definitely NOT however, because Joel Embiid is taking the court. I can promise you that.
A counter-point to the poll above: The AUDACITY of the WIP Morning Show to put this hate and fake news out onto the airwaves ahead of the NBA Cup. As the advertisements say, “The Cup is anyone’s for the taking” (or something like that) and now we have our very own WIP Morning Show drumming up a fake narrative around Joel Embiid and the reception he’ll get from the fans while he is literally the man who is going to parade us down Broad Street with an NBA Cup in-hand before the end of the year?
