Now that the dust has settled on the Daniel Jones release, the general sentiment is that the New York Giants are a joke of an organization. Tom Brady, however, feels a bit differently about the whole situation.
During the Cowboys vs. Giants broadcast on Thanksgiving, Brady shared his thoughts on the matter.

“To think that you would ask for a release from a team that committed a lot to you is maybe different than I would have handled it. I always felt like I wanted to get the trust and respect of my teammates regardless of the situation, knowing I was trying to do what’s best for the team.”
More or less, Tom Brady is just calling Jonees soft here. I don’t necessarily agree with the take, but I also don’t really blame Daniel Jones for what transpired in New York. He was over-drafted and it was clear as early as his second season. The team decided to let it continue for six total years before pulling the plug — it was organizational malpractice more than anything else.
We’ll never see Jones’ career resurrected as a starter, and that’s probably for the best.
