According to reports, Hollywood was willing to cough up a lot of money to make a movie about Philadelphia Eagles Chief Security Officer Big Dom
Adam Schefter joined the Pat McAfee Show this week and discussed the Philadelphia Eagles Chief Security Officer Big Dom and how Hollywood was willing to cough up a lot of money to make a movie about his life.
According to Schefty, a production company wanted to make a film about Big Dom’s life, but he turned the opportunity (and a lot of money) down.
Smart move from Big Dom, in my opinion.
Big Dom was approached by Hollywood to create a movie about his life

As the great Randy Jackson once said “That’s going to be a no (for now) from me, dawg.”
Being a diehard Philadelphai Eagles fan I’m just not into it but given the fact that Netflix just released a documentary on the Philly Captain and the Trea Turner standing ovations, it would appear that production companies out there are willing to get anything created these days.
Speaking of the Trea Turner Documentary, this is a similar situation in how I would approach making any type of movie related to a current professional sports team, player, or staff member.
If you remember, Trea Turner arrived in Philadelphia a career .300 hitter. He’s an elite baseball talent that struggled for the first half of his debut season in Philly. He then turned it around and started playing like he has always played throughout his MLB career
I was adamantly against treating Trea Turner like a Make A Wish kid. Turner had eight years of MLB service that indicated his slump for the first half of the 2023 season was an anomaly and the law of averages demanded a return to normalcy at some point.
Then there’s the fact that a documentary was made about the ovations when the Phillies dropped the final two games of the NLCS at home to the Arizona Diamondbacks that season and crushed the heart and souls of Phillies fans across the globe.
Trea Turner hit .200 with just five hits, a homer, and 2 RBI in the NLCS so o again I’m not really sure what we are even celebrating or talking about. It should have only been green lit if we were partying on Broad Street for a World Series parade.
There was no parade, obviously, and now I think we’d be better off convincing people that Phillies fans had nothing to do with the ovations rather than someone who orchestrated them but hey, that’s just me and like I always say, I’m not going to sit here and tell people how to be fans.
The Trea Turner Documentary and Big Dom Movie Relation:
That being said, I don’t think that Big Dom has reached documentary and/or movie level yet with the Philadelphia Eagles. If there was a Super Bowl ring to go along with it, then absolutely. That’s when films of any kind should be made about professional sports teams.
The fact that the Eagles haven’t won anything and only have a Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs two years ago and a historic late-season collapse last year to their resume means that there shouldn’t be anything written or produced about anyone related to this football team.
Maybe Big Dom knows that and that’s the reason it’s “not happening” – which is the right move for everyone involved. Just wait until the timing is right and Big Dom will be front row at the Academy Awards with some best picture hardware to bring back to the NovaCare Complex.
The ONLY exception to that rule would be the Philadelphia 76ers because I am dying to learn more about the entire years of “The Process” and what truly goes on behind closed doors in the front office. Unfortunately, we’re still in “production mode” with the 76ers as chaos continues to unfold with Joel Embiid and company in the 2024-25 NBA season.

Ur incorrect Dom does have a ring from 2017
