AJ Brown sounds off on Eagles offensive stuggles following close win over Panthers
It wasn’t pretty, but the Philadelphia Eagles survived a gritty battle with the Carolina Panthers to improve to 11-2 on the season.
The offense (more specifically the passing attack) was inconsistent throughout the afternoon. Jalen Hurts went 10/18 passing for 108 yards and two touchdowns, but his star receivers were hardly featured.
AJ Brown wasn’t targeted until late in the first half, finishing the day with just four catches for 43 receiving yards.
Brown was asked about the root of the Eagles’ offensive struggles at his locker following the game. He quickly responded with ‘passing.’

Brown also stated that it’s ‘incredibly tough’ to get into a rhythm when you only throw the ball 20 times per game.
The Eagles’ offense, led by Saquon Barkley, has established itself as run-first, making opportunities for pass-catchers few and far between. Brown’s 43 yards were his second-fewest of the season.
Brown’s frustration was evident. At one point, he was seen angrily slamming his helmet on the sideline. When reporters inquired about his outburst, Brown explained that it stemmed from Philadelphia’s failure to convert on their previous possession, resulting in a quick three-and-out.
DeVonta Smith also appeared to have an animated conversation with Brown on the sideline.
The two receivers hope to get on the same page with QB Jalen Hurts as the postseason approaches.
The moment history was made.
