WATCH: Brandon Graham speaks on Eagles decision to rest starters in Week 18
Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham joined ESPN NFL Countdown on Sunday to chop it up ahead of the NFL regular season finale.
Luckily, he didn’t say anything about locker room turmoil this time around. Instead, he spoke on the Eagles decision to rest their starters this week, rather than going for the rushing record with Saquon Barkley

“I think we learned from last year from AJ going out, we didn’t have him in the first round of the playoffs,” Brandon Graham said. “We had to learn from our mistakes from last year. I know Saquon, he’s really good about it, the O-line definitely good about it now”
I couldn’t agree more.
Obviously, the rushing record would’ve been sick. I would’ve loved to see Saquon get it, but I also understand how important it is to be healthy and fresh come playoff time.
If the Eagles are to get to the Super Bowl, they’ll have to play four more games. That’s a quarter of a season, against the best competition the league has to offer.
Like Brandon Graham said, the team clearly learned from their mistakes last season. They’re ready for a deep postseason run.
