The viral clip making the rounds of an Eagles fan unleashing a verbal tirade at a Packers fan and his wife in the nosebleeds is an embarrassing reminder that, yes, some people still think acting like a total jerk is part of the game-day experience.
As a city constantly battling the narrative of being the “worst sports fans in the world,” moments like this don’t just hurt our image—they set us back miles.
This Eagles Fan is an Embarassment to the rest of us. Let it be known that normal people don’t support this shit:
No need to ask for Packers fans help – the majority of Eagles fans will gladly drag this dude out of Lincoln Financial Field and hold him accountable. Disgusting behavior all around and again, it only enforces the false-narrative of how “bad” fans are in Philly.
Philadelphia fans know the drill. We’re passionate, we’re loud, and yes, sometimes we’re a little rough around the edges. But we also know that people love to paint us with the same tired brush, clinging to stories about snowballs and Santa Claus that happened decades ago.
The truth is, we’re some of the most dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate fans in the world. And yet, clowns like this guy give every lazy sports journalist an excuse to drag out the same tired narrative.
Why? Because instead of enjoying playoff football and supporting the Eagles, this fan decided to go full heel, screaming unhinged insults at two Packers fans who were minding their own business. There’s no excuse for this kind of behavior. It’s stupid, it’s embarrassing, and it’s completely unnecessary.
Instead of locking in and rooting for the Birds, this idiot was focused on wasting his energy berating random Packers fans who paid good money to travel to Philly to watch their football team. It’s absurd.
If you’re more concerned about yelling at opposing fans than cheering on the Eagles, maybe stay home next time.
Credit where it’s due: The Packers fan showed incredible restraint. He could’ve escalated the situation, but instead, he took the high road, which is more than can be said for the Eagles fan.

Here’s the thing, though—Philly fans shouldn’t need the opposition to take the high road. We should be better than this. There’s no reason to treat anyone like this, especially when they’re just sitting there watching the game. And let’s be honest, the only thing this guy accomplished was embarrassing himself and the city.

It’s beyond time for the Eagles to crack down on fans like this. Ban him, revoke his tickets, and make it clear that this kind of behavior won’t be tolerated.
The Linc is one of the best home-field advantages in the NFL, but it’s not because of jerks like this guy. It’s because of the real fans—the ones who bleed green, who know the game inside and out, and who channel their passion into supporting the team, not tearing down others.
The Eagles are rolling. They just took down the Packers in a playoff game, and the team looks poised for a deep run. This is the time to come together as Eagles fans and support the Birds, not give everyone outside of Philly another reason to pile on.
We’re better than this. The team deserves better than this. Let’s hope this incident is the exception, not the rule, and that we can move forward without any more viral embarrassments.

Nice try at a journalistic, city-wide condemnation, but the rest of country understands the truth. This idiot embodies Philly fans and they aren’t just like this at home. They travel to other stadiums and act just as bad. It’s the norm. I’m god this jackass was caught in camera. Hopefully his hospitality career will suffer. To think he actually has a wife and daughter that are about to be caught up in this. Typical Philly behavior.
Don’t make sweeping generalizations about Eagles fans. There’s one video from the game of someone acting like a dick and you just watched it. Important to be fair. Philly fans don’t like this shit either because it gives people like you a reason to respond and criticize the rest of us for no reason.
Do you know how I know you’re wrong? Do you see any of the Philly fans in the video even making an attempt to shut that guy up, or tell him to tone it down a little bit? You don’t, and the reason for that is people around him are OK with it. Even the ones who aren’t OK with it have been socialized to think that it’s normal behavior in their hometown. Sorry man, but I lived there and had a very similar situation with myself and my wife (she was wearing blue on a Sunday when the Eagles were playing Dallas) and we weren’t even watching the game, we were just at a bar… 20 years later similar instance is Baltimore with my son when the Phillies were in town. The common denominator is a group of Philly fans harassing someone so the guy that’s with them will start a fight. Then, it’s a dog pile. Last, my friends brother was assaulted in killed in a dog park in Philly (google it, about two years ago) for asking somebody to leash their dog. Your city is a mess. Acting like this guy is an outlier makes you part of the problem.
