Eagles fans make pilgrimage to Lincoln Financial Field to bless the stadium with ‘Holy Wooder’ ahead of tomorrow’s NFC Championship

Eagles fans never cease to impress. Once you think you’ve seen it all with fans showing up to the sacred parking lots in South Philly, armed with blowtorches and alligators to eat, we now have fans blessing Lincoln Financial Field with “Holy Wooder” ahead of tomorrow’s NFC Championship Game.

Eagles Fans are spreading “Holy Wooder” at The Linc:

Eagles Fans Are Doing Whatever it takes…

Side Note: How cool would it be if Holy Wooder didn’t freeze? That would make me a believer…

Regardless, I don’t hate it. I would have ditched the Holy Wooder and just set up to begin tailgating a full 24-hours ahead of tomorrow and blessed the sacred grounds of the South Philly Sports complex with ice cold Bud Light (not gay anymore) and all different types of alcohol but to each their own, right? The power of christ compels everyone in different, mysterious ways.

As I’m writing this, I do think we have to question whether it’s really a superstition to bring Holy Wooder to The Linc, right? A much needed follow up question would be if this woman and her son go down to The Linc every Saturday before home games to spread the water. That would make much more sense than just doing it once before the NFC Championship Game.

It’s also not even Game Day so the entire segment is a bit “off” but who cares. It’s just good to see everyone out there making preparations for tomorrow’s big dance.

Again, sign me up for everything. As long as Eagles fans are locked in, that’s all that matters.
