Former Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore shares his thoughts on the Tush Push controversy

That’s a good boy, Kellen. That’s a real good, sweet boy. What people don’t realize is that Eagles fans are always wondering if history will be kind to players and coaches who had the honor and privilege to spend time in Philadelphia at one point during their careers.

Today, the now-former offensive coordinator of the Birds joined the ranks of the Tush Push Defenders as the NFL Owners meetings made their decision to “table” the potential ban of the play.

Kellen Moore joined the “good guys” and pretty much bent the knee to Nick Sirianni, admitting what we already knew—the Tush Push isn’t going anywhere, and everyone would be much better off just shutting the hell up about it.

When asked about the Packers’ sorry attempt to get the tush push banned, here’s what the former Eagles OC had to say:

A rational take from a guy who saw firsthand how unstoppable the play was last season? Who would have thought? Kellen Moore knows that tush push is literally only unstoppable because the Eagles run it with a quarterback who squats 600 pounds. There’s a reason other teams in the league don’t have anywhere near the success as the birds do.

Moore could’ve taken the coward’s way out and played both sides of the argument. After all, he’s coaching in New Orleans now, where the Tush Push isn’t a thing unless Derek Carr is sneaking into the trainer’s room to get his feelings checked. But instead, he gave credit where credit is due—the Eagles own this play, and if your team can’t execute it, that’s a you problem.

And let’s be real, Moore probably owes Nick Sirianni and the Tush Push a thank-you card. His stint in Philly was far from perfect, but riding the coattails of that play (and Jalen Hurts’ legs) helped him land another head coaching job.

Smart man. Stay in Sirianni’s good graces, and the football gods will reward you.

As for the rest of the rats who tried getting this play banned, (most notably the biggest softy in the NFL, Matt LaFleur), hold my nuts pal. How does it feel to get beaten by the Eagles in two different countries in one season?

TLL’s own, Steven Conrad Jr. verbally abuses the Packers head coach

I’ll end on this. The tush push isn’t some loophole or a gimmick. It’s a combination of better coaching, roster construction, and better execution. if you don’t like it, then maybe go watch soccer. The Eagles are simply better than your favorite team in short-yardage situations and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.
