Breakdown: Jalen Hurts responds when asked if he plans on visiting the White House next week

Jalen Hurts, fresh off being named as a member of TIME Magazine’s Top 100 most influential people on planet earth, attended an event that recognized the achievement and was caught in an awkward situation when a reporter asked him if he plans on attending the White House when the Eagles are scheduled to visit next week.

Hell of a question. Shoutout (not really) TIME Magazine for literally trying to catch our franchise quarterback in a sticky situation. Those sleuths were probably foaming at the mouth once Hurts responded like that to get it posted all over the internet as quickly as possible.

That’s dirty work any way you want to cut it. 

Asking Super Bowl MVP and World Champion if he plans on visiting the White House after the Philadelphia Eagles organization already confirmed that the team would be doing so is simply nasty work and what we like to call engagement farming.

The reporter got it. I bet. The only thing the reporter got was her agenda and clip to post from “TIME STUDIOS” all over the internet that would support her agenda.

Either way, there will be a lot of people on both sides of the spectrum dissecting what Jalen Hurts actually meant with his reaction so I’ll save you the trouble and give you both sides.

We’ll start with the liberal viewpoint because as we all know, they love to complain about every little thing someone does if it doesn’t meet their agenda and while inherently wrong with most of their behaviors and overall political stances, they continue to make the most noise, even when it sounds like a crying baby the majority of the time. 

The internet libs went crazy when the false reports came out saying the team wouldn’t accept the White House visit. When it came out that the team would actually attend because it wasn’t about who was in office but rather an invite to the literal White House being an honor, the libs were still super mad about it and demanded that they declined.

The Eagles did not decline and will actually attend next week’s scheduled visit.

That being said, the left side of things probably loved Jalen Hurts shrugging off the question because it appeared he wasn’t interested in the White House visit.

That’s perfectly fine. I get the enthusiasm.

Stuck in the middle (with me)

Here in the middle, I personally just hate the question and the fact that TIME Magazine posted that clip on the internet in the first place. I have zero clue why anyone wants to relate politics and sports together and why its necessary for any athlete to step into that world.

These guys grew up playing sports. They did not attend a single Political Science course. I’m not a doctor and I’m not out here giving my medical opinion on anything.

Side Note: Okay, not exactly true. I told everyone on the internet that COVID wasn’t real and wearing masks was stupid. I was right, obviously, but people were so mad that even me, with a small little following on Twitter, received death threats and someone literally followed me from DELCO to the Great Northeast threatening to kill me and attempting to drive me off I-95.

That’s a true story.

Anyways, yes, I’m still on the “hate the question” side of things but let’s slide to the right and see how this can be spun up into the perfect alt-right fever dream just for the hell of it.

Is there a chance that Jalen Hurts was so disgusted by the question that he completely shrugged it off and turned the other way because he had zero interest in being involved in the leftist agenda of making everything political?

Could Jalen Hurts feel the Woke Mind Virus creeping into his skin and made a quick turn from being infected? Was Hurts so disgusted that a woman was able to get that close to him and even ask him a question?

All fair questions for the right. Are any of them actually truthful? Of course not but as we all know, the truth tends to get lost in any political conversation so it’s all worth mentioning regardless.

Anyways, just fucking around on a beautiful Friday in the Delaware Valley. If you take issue with that, I would encourage you to step outside and take a breath of fresh air. Not everything has to be so politically charged.
