Eagles bolster offensive line with Boston College center Drew Kendall
Draft from the ball out. Howie Roseman and the Eagles stuck to this philosophy by selecting Boston College interior offensive lineman Drew Kendall.
Eagles add to Stoutland University
Kendall, the son of 1996 first-round pick Pete Kendall, is a snow-plow blocker whose most remarkable ability is his availability, starting 37 consecutive games at center for Boston College. As a captain in his senior season, the bulldozer center posted a team-best 83.1 pass block grade according to PFF and allowed only five pressures in 350 pass block scenarios.
Depth and versatility along the Eagles’ offensive line are crucial, especially when unfortunate injuries occur. Drew Kendall might not see the field in his first season, but he will provide valuable depth on the offensive line for years to come.
